Caper Youth Garden [ Wayne Riley]
June 19,2012 The Capers Youth Garden began the day by weeding the corn, cabbage, tomtoes and onions.Afterward came the task of painting rain barrels to help with the dry spell. Our painters were from the age of 3 years to 17 years old.Our 3 year old was a guest but a hard worker. His mother is one of the supervisors. We had a great day in the heat with no complaint from the kids.We will meet next Tuesday at 9:30 to work the garden and finish the rain barrels. The supervisors are very pleased with the group.I look forward to each Tuesday to see how eager they are to get started.
