This week I just thought I would post some harvest pictures. We have been eating so many yummy things from the garden, it seemed like we should show them off! Lately we've been harvesting salad mix, kale, beets, turnips, carrots, snap peas, and green onions.....oh... and strawberries!!!!
This week we will be harvesting heads of Romaine lettuce, and garlic scapes as well. The client featured in these pics helped get produce washed and processed for some in-house meals. I am always trying to let clients know how important the processing part of food production is. Some of our folks may not be able to spend as much physical time in the field. I want them to understand that the washing and preparing of our produce is just as essential as planting and harvest! If we do not clean and store produce properly we lose it so... that being said... I'd like to give thanks to all of our lovely ladies who take the time to clean, process and prepare our yummy, home-grown veggies! We appreciate you!
