Scott County Grow Appalachia

The Scott County Grow Appalachia participants are continuing to express their gratitude for the program.  We are very proud their hard work, and we would like to share some of the photos from our site visits this week.

One of our garden participants, Mrs Sexton, is a first time gardener. She has had a very difficult year, and she has told us that  gardening has been very therapeutic for her.  She proudly walked us through her garden and showed us some of her vegetables that are already coming in.  What a beautiful garden!

We have planted raised bed gardens at the Boys and Girls Club this year.  The children have been enjoying learning about all aspects of gardening, and have especially enjoyed getting their hands dirty.
