We distributed the plants to our individual garden and community garden participants Monday evening.

In some cases, we were
able to give them more
plants than they had
requested. Most of our participants have expressed their heartfelt appreciation
for Grow Appalachia.
We also had a basic gardening class this past week for our participants. We had wonderful participation and a lot of questions from our first time gardeners.
After the class, we asked if anyone would like to share any advice they had from their own gardening experiences. The discussions that followed were so informative. We are going to compile all of this good information and pass it on!
The local folklore and traditions are definitely one of my favorite parts of this job. Keep up the great work with the kids!!
